​David Hogg, a survivor of the shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida who has become the face of the anti-second amendment rights movement, is demanding that Vice President Mike Pence forgo his speech at the NRA National Convention on May 4 in Dallas, Texas.  Hogg has started a Petition on MoveOn.org, demanding that Pence not attend this speech.  Hogg's premise is that the VP's presence at the convention is a signal to young people that the NRA's extremist actions and agenda are more valuable to the Vice President than lives lost.

In addition, Hogg and others started a false narrative that the NRA will not allow people with weapons and guns into the Convention.  And actually, the Associated Press jumped on this bandwagon early on and had to retract because it was not true. The truth is that the NRA said the U.S. Secret Service will coordinate security for the Pence speech and will not allow weapons in the arena while he is present.  This was the case last year when President Trump was a speaker at the NRA convention.  However, weapons will not be banned from the rest of the convention.

Please take this opportunity to let Vice President Pence know that we are behind his speech and support his first amendment rights and our second amendment rights.  We have tweets for you and appreciate your help and support.
