New T-Mobile CEO tweets ‘Bye-bye, Tucker Carlson,’ won’t sponsor him anymore
T-Mobile’s new CEO tweeted “Bye-bye Tucker Carlson” multiple times this week and said his company will no longer sponsor Carlson’s Fox News show after Carlson made racist comments Monday evening. Sievert’s tone in these tweets appears to be an attempt to emulate the famously-brash tone of John Legere, his predecessor.
In response to multiple angry customers on Twitter, T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert tweeted that his company wasn’t currently running ads on the show and wouldn’t be moving forward. Here’s one example:

We support Tucker Carlson
You have a very short memory. A few years ago, the left tried to take down Tucker Carlson and others. We fought back and they did not succeed. Well, guess what, we are fighting back again. The United States guarantees freedom of speech via the First Amendment. Apparently, you have not read it, or like the left, are trying to rewrite the Constitution and take away, not only Tucker's right to free speech, but ours as well. And apparently, you have taken sides in this heated political upheaval we are going through. You have sided against Tucker and we, the American people.
You have also forgotten, that, we the people, are the hard earning wage earners who pay our taxes and buy your goods and services.....or not. You have also forgotten that we have been locked down for months due to the COVID Virus. So just like the rioters and protesters, we have a lot of pent up anger as well. Now the anger is directed toward you. The difference is, we do not go out and burn down buildings and ruin businesses in the name of a movement. Instead, we follow the rules, stay inside and......save our money. Oh, and listen to Tucker Carlson.
So, go ahead, do what you do. Pander to the mob and group think. Go ahead take your sponsorship from Tucker Carlson. That gives us the right to take our sponsorship/purchase of your goods and services somewhere else. When will you ever learn to stay out of politics? Apparently, you will not.
My memory is not short. I remember and have chosen to boycott you and take my business elsewhere. I have lots of other choices and certainly will not chose to use your products or services.

Subject: We stand with Tucker Carlson
Here we go again. The left is attacking Tucker Carlson anew. As a viewer, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of Carlson and for continuing to air his show. It is frustrating that someone (Media Matters) had to make the effort to dig up “dirt” on Carlson from years past. What is even more frustrating is that “dirt” was exposed for Virginia Governor, Northam and Virginia Lieutenant Governor, Fairfax, and because the progressive, blatant double standard, both are still in their positions of power. This action reeks of a massive double standard.
Carlson Tucker is very outspoken and erudite. He researches his topics and challenges voices that do not always agree with him. As a result, his program often has a provocative message which challenges viewers to think for themselves, which probably upsets the progressives. It is a great display of the first amendment in action.
Thank you for keeping him on air. Supporting Fox and supporting his sponsors for keeping him on air is what I will do. I speak with my wallet and my money is on Tucker Carlson.
