We need to #BACKTHEBLUE #ALLLIVESMATTER Join us in our campaign against the NFL and defunding the police. NFL players spoke, and Roger Goodell responded.

After Drew Brees came out about standing for the flag during NFL games, he was attacked by other players. He backed down and apologized. In addition, Roger Goodell (NFL Commissioner) said. "We, the National Football League, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all players to speak out and peacefully protest. We, the National Football League, believe that black lives matter."

In addition, there has been talk in some very Democratic cities such as Los Angeles and New York city to defund police departments. While we, at TheNewMovement.org support peaceful protests which are a fundamental first amendment right, we do not support the NFL's stance, nor do we support defunding any police department. The purpose of this campaign is to #BacktheBlue and to inform Goodell and the NFL that the flag stands for First Defenders and we will not support kneeling during NFL games.

Dear NFL Teams and Owners and Roger Goodell:

We remember that your ratings dropped drastically last year because players knelt during the National Anthem and in order to disrespect the flag. Now you say, it is not about the flag, but about racism. What makes this year different? Yes, the killing of George Floyd was a despicable act. But so was the killing of retired St. Louis Police Office, David Dorn. And so was the injuring of so many police officers who were fighting to stop the looting and burning in our cities. It is about the flag. It is about respect for the United States. It is about standing and respecting the American flag.

Thank goodness for the First Defenders who do what they do every day so your players have the ability to make an incredible living. The National Anthem and the flag represent them. The National Anthem and the flag represent them. Thank goodness that they put their lives on the line as cities were being burned and looted. And now there is talk about defunding these First Responders. You should have stayed neutral. Yes, Americans are angry. Yes changes need to come. But not standing for the flag and not supporting the First Defenders is not acceptable.

Your season is already going to be cut short due to the pandemic. Now, because of your stance and pandering, as an American citizen who supports First Defenders and the flag that represents them, I will not watch one game, nor will I buy any NFL associated products. In addition, I will actively boycott your sponsors. As an American citizen, you can choose to support any side you want, but as an American citizen, I can choose to defund the NFL.
